Morley-Ellenbrook Line
The new 21km Morley-Ellenbrook Rail Line was designed to give people living and working in Perth’s north-eastern suburbs more transport choices. Perth’s largest public transport project since the Mandurah Line, the Morley-Ellenbrook Line starts at Bayswater Station on the Midland Line, travels in the centre of Tonkin Highway (entering and exiting under the lanes), then through land north of Marshall Road, along the western side of Drumpellier Drive, ending in Ellenbrook.
Caddmandu was engaged by Jacobs to assist with the detailed design of this multi-billion dollar project. Our initial role was to develop the final designs for the changes to the highway infrastructure that was being affected by the new rail line. Ultimately, Caddmandu was responsible for the geometric design of the majority of the highway redesigns. Complimenting this, Caddmandu also provided key drafting resources to ensure the project delivery was kept on track.
In addition to this, our services were further sought to provide detailed design of the Main Cable Route (the electronic backbone of the project), which has entailed both the horizontal and vertical placement of the electrical infrastructure for the entire project, and also the associated BIM Metadata that is now required on a complex project such as this. Our role on this project is still ongoing at this point in time & is likely to continue until the end of 2022
Benefits:
